  • Congratulations Katrina! I can't remember the date of our first date, but, like you, I knew I had found THE ONE! 44+ years later and I know that is still the case!

  • Thanks so much!!

I remember our first date because it's also my mothers birthday AND his parents anniversary. His parents actually got married 6 WEEKS after they first met...and didn't even speak to one another for THREE of those six week. They have now been married for 42 years!! I can only PRAY that we make it another 30+ years!! It's definitely a "lucky" day for us!

The first time I saw him, when he came to get HVAC parts from the place I was working, I felt like I had known him forever. I asked him if I knew him and his response was, "I doubt it. I am WAY too old for you!" LOL HA HA! I looked young for my age, but he is 7 years older than me. I hadn't ever met him before but I felt like I had known him forever. We went to a festival later on in our relationship and on a whim decided to go to a "fortune teller" that was there. She told us that we had been together in ALL of our "past lives" and that no matter what we will ALWAYS find one another, regardless of how many lives we live. It doesn't matter if we are born on different continents, our lives will forever cross. Although I am skeptical, it really made sense to me because my heart knew him from that first sight!

We actually both knew from that first date that we were meant for one another! Honestly it was from the first time he touched me, on the small of the back, while we were deciding on a movie to watch (which was "Down To Earth"). It's all burned into my memory because I had never felt anything like it. He put his hand on my back and it was like we were both "struck by lightning." From that MOMENT on we were in love and knew we would be together forever. I didn't believe in love at first sight until then...or rather love at first TOUCH! I am living, breathing, LOVING PROOF that "love at first sight/touch" is a REAL thing!! I love him more than I did yesterday and less than I will tomorrow!! He is my heart and soul and has given me the greatest gifts ever bestowed on me....his heart and my children!! <3

And YES I definitely need to catch up!! When I left 6 months ago (against MY will) there were only about 110 pages of puzzles...now there are over 300!! It's crazy! Ticks me off too because I was SO CLOSE to having ALL the puzzles solved up to that point. Now, I have at least 200 PAGES (of 20 per page) to catch up on. Seems like I will NEVER make it!! LOL ~:)

  • Wow, Congrats, Katrina! My fiancé and I will have been together 7 years on April 8th. We're thinking of finally tying the knot next year some time, and getting our house by the end of this year!

I know how you feel about catching up on the puzzles! I still have 155 pages to go, and that's with the higher amount listed on each page! Yikes!

  • (Oh I lied. My pages are listed at 20 each as well. At least I'm making progress with my 155! Lol.)

  • Thanks everyone!! I still can't believe 13 years have passed since that first date! Time sure does FLY by! My son is having his 11th bday party tomorrow and I am NOT happy about it! I keep threatening to "ground" the kids if they keep disobeying me by getting older and older!! He starts middle school next year and I am NOT ready to lose my baby boy to the world...hormones...and GIRLS yet!! Ugh!

    Congrats to you too LeraDraco69!!

ChaCha..44+ years is QUITE an accomplishment! My in-laws are celebrating their 43rd anniversary today. I hope that David and I have just as many years (and more) together...and STILL love one another the way we do now! Congratulations on what I imagine has been such an amazing journey together!! ~:)

  • One 50/50 guess, but the right answer makes the puzzle look better.
