Many Halloween traditions could have originated with the ancient Celtic harvest festival of Samhain, which was later Christianized as Halloween by the early Church. Maybe it started as a Christian holiday, separate from the old pagan holidays. Perhaps it has its roots in other ancient traditions. Does it matter? It's a fun holiday celebrated in many countries with lots of activities including candy bars, costume parties, pumpkins, bonfires, and haunted attractions. Do you celebrate Halloween?
