46. Mount Rushmore
The idea of creating this gigantic sculpture dates back to the early 20th century.
Four iconic American presidents are represented.
It took 14 years of work, using explosives and jackhammers.
Here is George Washington, the first on the left.

On n'oublie pas de rappeler que le sculpteur principal était membre du KKK et a volontairement choisi ce lieu, sur des terres volées, car sacré pour plusieurs peuples autochtones ...
