This square, located in Bhaktapur, is home to a group of historic monuments listed as World Heritage Sites, within an area known as the Kathmandu Valley. The area corresponds to the part reserved for the Newari nobility, including the royal family, before the capital was moved to Kathmandu. The buildings and artistic and craft traditions remain.
