It was almost by chance, Indiana Jones style, that Hiram Bingham discovered this spectacular Inca citadel at an altitude of 2,400 m in 1911. At the time, it housed between 500 and 700 people.
Built in the 15th century, this site is remarkable for its many architectural, cultural and ecological aspects.
