1. Charles bridge in Prague

The Charles Bridge is a magnificent structure, undoubtedly the symbol of the city of Prague.
Built at the end of the 14th century, it was the only bridge spanning the Vltava River at the time, as other older bridges had collapsed. Three defensive towers protected access to the bridge.
Today, it is reserved for pedestrians only in order to preserve it.
It has 16 arches, is 516 metres long and over 9 metres wide.
