Born in Magnesia ad Sipylum (Lydia) around the year 115, he explored Greece, Macedonia, Italy, Asia, and Africa before settling in Rome around 174. For this hanjie, I used his portrait from a Florentine manuscript dating to 1485, although I am certain it is imaginary.
