Hendrick Goltzius

The list of Dutch engravers is longer than eternity.
I only introduce you to Hendrick Goltzius, a German-born Dutch printmaker, draftsman, and painter. He was the leading Dutch engraver of the early Baroque period, or Northern Mannerism, lauded for his sophisticated technique, technical mastership and "exuberance" of his compositions.
His art gives you the feeling that you have entered a very well-stocked butcher's shop and that your cholesterol will increase dangerously. This is Baroque.
